INTERNSHIP PROGRAM SCOPE OF WORK
Position: Intern – Global Fund Malaria Grant
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Location: Abuja
Department: Programs / GF Malaria
Internship Supervisor: Chief of Party – GF Malaria
Education: Minimum of a H.N.D/BSc. in Health-related course or Social sciences
Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC work experience in administrative management support preferably with an International NGO
Some experience with management of professional development preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computer software – MS Office and Excel especially
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be a mature, very motivated, problem solving individual with high levels of initiative; Demonstrate excellent written and oral Communication skills Must demonstrate a good understanding of contemporary management best practices Excellent people skills; Demonstrate high level of initiative, diplomacy, tact and problem solving skills Must be flexible and can work independently and as part of a team Ability to work with church-based organizations. Demonstrated willingness to work in a team
Expected duties and responsibilities:
1. Support the Chief of Party to compile and track unit workplans, weekly reports, provide monthly review and updates to work plans, liaise with program staff to provide updates on anticipated support needs.
2. Perform grant-level administrative duties as required, assist with correspondence, letters, and invitations. 3. Recording workshop proceedings, collating and storing workshop outputs where necessary
4. Provide logistics and operations support to the Global Fund Malaria Team
5. Ensure archiving of all Global Fund-Malaria documents
6. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chief of Party.
