Mental Health: How are we coping?

Mental health is that subject, people are averse to speaking about. The truth is, it is a thing! - for everyone.

Yes, we do not easily rake up numbers, resulting in death like many other diseases, however some might describe extreme circumstances as worse. What do we mean?
There is a lot going on today. And whether it be better or worse than past decades or generation, one cannot help but wonder if extreme conditions resulting from a mental health circumstance could have been averted.

The problem might be, we do not pay attention till it takes a turn for the very worse - need I say it could be too late?

The dilemma is we do not know poor mental health when we see one easily - and that's just the way it is. We probably only recognise it from their victims with obvious scars and in other cases irreversible situations.

The World Health Organisation defines Mental health as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stress of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her of his community.

I think no one is immune to being affected, directly and indirectly, especially where wellbeing in concerned.

There are a number of articles providing advise on how to manage and care for our mental health especially at early stages.

Be it depression, anxiety, stress, loss, pain, passion, guilt, pressure, abilities and inabilities - we make a conscious effort to put things in check. And it could be different for all of us.

One approach all agree with is leading a healthy life: food, work-life balance, exercise, lifestyle, health checks - and above all adapt to the natural environment and its provision.

This post is to create awareness on a neglected topic 'mental health'. Especially today, and with all going on around us.
